At NXT Takeover 35 Ilja Dragunov finally put an end to Walter’s historic reign as a NXT UK Champion, becoming the new NXT UK champion. On the latest NXT UK Ilja Dragunov spoke with the assistant to the General Manager Sid Scalla via satellite about his monumental victory.
Ilja began to speak about his excitement of finding out who would be the first competitor to challenge for his title, the moment he mentioned this he was interrupted by Nathan Frazer, then Rampage Brown and finally A-Kid also made his way to the ring. Each competitor gave solid reasons for why they should be the No. 1 contender, taking the initiative Sid Scalla would suggest a triple threat match to become the No. 1 contender for Ilja Dragunov, the match up was then confirmed later on in the episode.
