Bronson Reed Explains What He Was Told When He Asked About His Release
Back on August 6 in a shock to fans, Bronson Reed was released from NXT with no explanation as to why. It was definitely a shock to the former NXT North American Champion as he took to Twitter and released a video explaining where he was mentally after everything had sunken in.
On an interview with Busted Open Radio this morning, The subject came up on if Reed was ever given a reason for his release. Reed explained he was contacted about his release by John Laurinaitis who informed him he”there was no real reason, it was just a no for now.”
I was called by John Laurinaitis, who is doing all those sorts of things at the moment, and I made sure to ask, hey why is this happening?
And he said theirs no real reason it’s just a no for now. Which then leaves it up for debate.
When asked if he was ever able to speak to either Triple H or Shawn Michales Reed stated that Shawn Michales did give him a call.
Shawn Called me and told me it was a shock to him and that I need to show them why it was a mistake on their behalf.
Reed also stated in the interview that he was told that the door for a return to WWE was always open. Reed let it be known that he is in talks with some major wrestling companies and stated he thinks his style would fit best with AEW or Impact wrestling but that he is exploring all options.
We will have to see what is next for REED.
