Updates On NXT Releases And Impact Debuts
As previously stated last week, NXT has been making an unusual amount of releases this year, of talent and crew alike. This has taken everyone by surprise, especially NXT on-screen general manager William Regal.
In an interview with Fightful, recently released talent Alex Zayne stated that Regal was in just as much shock as anyone when [Zayne] called him to speak post release. Regal stated he was not informed about the incoming cuts to the roster and Zayne believes this to be a genuine reaction. Word of the releases began to spread approximately a half hour post release, therefore Regal would not have had enough time to be notified by anyone of the cuts.
Zayne, like most release NXT talent, is under a 30 day non-compete clause. However, he was in attendance at this weekends IMPACT Wrestling tapings in Nashville, which appears to be indicating a debut with the company coming up very soon.
As always, we will keep you updated as more news develops.
