AEW On Pace For 20,000 In Ticket Sales For Grand Slam Special
AEW is coming off of their biggest PPV ever in All Out. They now look to keep the momentum going with one of their biggest shows in terms of attendance at Arthur Ashe Stadium. This will be the first time that this venue will host a pro wrestling event and there is a lot of hype surrounding this event.
The card for this event is shaping up to be a good one, as we will see Kenny omega take on Bryan Danielson in a non-title match. We will also see Britt Baker defend her title against Ruby Soho. Many fans were curious how the company do as far as ticket sales would go.
The company has already sold over 18,000 tickets, but AEW could bring in even more fans. They just got around to setting up the location and that opened up even more seats.
Dave Meltzer noted on Twitter that AEW Grand Slam could have 20,000 fans or more at this point. It is important to note that secondary market tickets might go unsold, but they still count.
With production moved in, they have a lot of new openings for tickets for tomorrow’s Dynamite. The potential is more than 20,000 now.
We will have to see how the show shapes up as the card is looking strong.
