Lines Stretch For Blocks As Fans Wait To Enter Arthur Ashe Stadium For AEW’s Grand Slam Event
AEW is coming off of a successful All Out PPV that some are calling one of the greatest shows ever. Tonight is the Huge Grand Slam Event and it looks like this show will top All Out, at least in attendance. It was reported earlier today by wrestlenomics that 20,000 fans will be in attendance for the event, and yesterday AEW tweeted out letting fans know to make it early as they could. It now looks like they were right for doing so.
The line of fans for AEW Grand Slam is ridiculously long outside Arthur Ashe Stadium. Fans are somewhat socially distanced which only adds to the line’s length. Fans in attendance stated that the line stretches all the way down to Citi Field. Each fan is anxious for the show to begin as they wait in what could be the longest line of their lives.
We have also learned that parking outside the building is $50 and it opened up three hours before the event. Those lots are filling up quickly, another reason why AEW suggested that fans take mass transit.
Tonight is set to be an exciting night we will see if AEW has any surprises in store.
