Yesterday evening Rev Pro UK announced the return of the British J Cup, which will be held on the 6th November at the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage. Earlier this morning Rev Pro UK announced that they will have two British J Cup qualifying matches for their next show this Sunday the 26th of September.
Fist match to be announced was Robbie X vs Martin Kirby;
This match up was previously announced last week but was changed to a British J Cup qualifying match this morning. Martin Kirby is veteran of the British wrestling scene, he recently made his shock return to British Wrestling at a live ICW show, Robbie X is one of British Wrestling’s top Jr Heavyweights.
Rev Pro then announced Connor Mills vs Callum Newman to be J Cup qualifying match;
Two of British Wrestling’s best young talents, Callum Newman is seen as Ospreay’s protoge and has put on some incredible performances up and down the country, can he do something his mentor never achieved? Connor Mills often gets overlooked as Michael Oku’s tag team partner but is a fantastic wrestler in his own right, this could be his chance by going on to win the tournament.
Both Matches are scheduled to take place at Sunday’s show in St Neots full card details below;
Aussie Open vs Yota Tsuji and Shota Umino
Robbie X vs Martin Kirby
Ricky Knight Jr vs Chris Ridgeway
The Legion vs The Young Guns
Connor Mills vs Callum Newman
Gideon Grey vs Michael Oku
Amira Blair vs Gisele Shaw
The St Neots shows will likely be up-loaded to their Video on Demand service RPW on Demand with in a week of show date, RPW on Demand currently offer a two week free trial which includes last week’s High Stakes show.
