AEW Adds More Tickets For UBS Arena Show In Long Island, NY
Back in August our own Cassidy Haynes reported that through sources, it was found out that AEW’s confidence was high in its ability to sell out larger venues. This news was reported off the heels of the sell-out Rampage show that was held in Chicago at the United Center that saw the debut of CM Punk. Reports started floating around that the UBS arena in Long Island, New York was a possible destination for the company.
Fast Forward to September 7, AEW announced that it would hold both Dynamite and Rampage on December 8 at the UBS arena. This news was made even more interesting when it was realized that WWE would be holding Raw at the same venue a week before on November 29th.
Since tickets went on sale It was reported by wrestle tix that AEW was significantly selling more tickets than WWE. As of this morning, WrestleTix has announced that AEW has opened up 600 more seats and as of now, the event is at about 74% capacity with 6,992 tickets already sold and 2,493 still available.
It’s looking more like the AEW’s confidence in itself to hold bigger venues will pay off.
