Music Originally Made For Malakai Black Will Be Available In Upcoming AEW Video Game
In June of this year, Malakai Black was released from the WWE to the shock of the wrestling world. Black was considered by many to be one of the biggest rising stars during his time with the company. Along with his mysterious persona, Blacks entrance music was a huge part of his character and added a distinct ambiance to the star. So when Black Made his debut for AEW fans of the star were curious to see if his new entrance music would continue to accurately mirror his persona.
It was eventually revealed that AEW and Malakai Black had enlisted Belgian Doom Metal Band AMENRA for his new entrance theme, but apparently, this was almost not the case.
Mikey Rukus, a producer who has made music for numerous AEW talent including The Lucha Brothers and Adam Cole, was asked on Twitter by a fan if he had made any concepts or had any demos for Black when he came into the company. Rukus stated that he actually did and that during the time of AEW trying to get the licensing from Amenera, that he did have a backup theme ready just in case things fell through.
Rukus went on to say that theme that was not used would be available in AEW’s upcoming Video Game.
After being asked about having music prepared for Black:
“I did in fact have a theme prepared for Malakai while the licensing was getting situated. It was a backup just in case. You will be able to access it for use in the console game“
Rukus would go to post a version of the theme on Twitter. Do you like the Blacks theme or would you have changed it to Rukus’s version?
