This year’s SummerSlam was by far WWE’s biggest show of the year. We got the Return of not one but two huge stars in Becky Lynch and Brock Lesnar. It looks like the WWE is looking to top this year SummerSlam next year.
According to a report from Alex McCarthy of talkSport, WWE is strongly considering 2022’s SummerSlam event for Cardiff at the Principality Stadium. The venue is currently a frontrunner after meetings took place over the last week. WWE just got back from the U.K on a mini-tour and they plan to return again soon.
The Principality Stadium in Cardiff is the front-runner for SummerSlam in the UK next year. Meetings took place during the tour last week and great progress was made on a WWE UK PPV.
While nothing is set in stone, WWE has been looking to run more major shows overseas.
