Bryan Danielson Confirms WWE Talks With New Japan Pro Wrestling
Bryan Danielson definitely made a mark in the WWE. Regardless of him making his way to AEW, the memories that he made in the WWE will forever be talked about by wrestling fans. At the end of his run with the company, it was reported by Dave Meltzer back in May that WWE and NJPW were in talks regarding a potential partnership in order to try to entice Bryan into staying with the company, but we all know how that ended.
Danielson has now confirmed that he did in fact ask WWE to work in Japan. Danielson recently appeared on the In The Kliq podcast, where he shed some light on the potential partnership between WWE and NJPW.
I don’t know how far along the talks went and I don’t know even if I was the start of them, for sure, but one of the things when I was talking to them when WWE was trying to re-sign me was, I said, ‘I want to be able to work in Japan.’
Since joining AEW it has come up quite a bit about The American Dragon making his way through the forbidden door and wrestling for NJPW. He has already been called out by NJPW star Will osprey, so only time will tell if we will see Danielson in a New Japan ring.
While it is uncertain what will come of the Omega Danielson match many fans are hyped, and expecting it to be a hard-hitting fast-paced match.
