The TBS championship being announced first makes all the sense in the world, especially was a promoting tool for the promotion and their move to TBS in 2022. There isn’t any hurry with the trios championships, AEW will still book exciting trios matches most weeks.
The announcement of a trios titles and the eventual tournament to crown the first champions seems like an excellent idea to safe for another time, especially when you’re looking for a ratings bump.
There’s a good chance that maybe AEW announces the trios championships on the third installment of Jericho’s cruise, but no information about that has been hinted so far.
The trios championships are something AEW fans really want to see and something AEW has excelled is giving people what they want and they’re just waiting for the right time to make the announcement.
