Montez Ford Set For Eventual Big Singles Push
Before WWE held their draft earlier this month they were many rumors surrounding the Street Profits Tag team. Apparently, there were talks of a possible breakup of the Tag Team but WWE settled on leaving the team together, but after Dawkins was injured the WWE gave Ford a short run by himself.
On a late September episode of SmackDown, WWE gave Ford a trial run as a singles wrestler. Montez was placed into a match with WWE’s Tribale chief Roman Reigns, but unfortunately, Ford would lose the match by submission.
higher-ups at WWE are said to have been impressed with the performance. It seems like a matter of when and not if at this point. Montez Ford seems destined for a big push.
GiveMeSport reports that sources have been saying that WWE sees Ford as a potential top star in the future. The company continues to consider singles opportunities for Montez.
“GiveMeSport has also learned that people within WWE have been impressed with Ford’s conduct and performances over the last few months, which is why he’s being considered for big opportunities like this.”
According to the report, the WWE front office has also been impressed by the way Ford carries himself outside the ring. The combination of professional conduct and good in-ring work means that the company will be keen for a Montez Ford singles run in the future.
