Luis Miguel & Pro-Wrestling
What does Luis Miguel, one of Mexico’s biggest singers, and Pro-Wrestling have in common? The answer is simple, many wrestlers have used his songs as part of the entrances for many years.
Luis Miguel’s music being part of wrestling is a very interesting and unique thing about the sport. Wrestlers picking his songs for their entrances speaks volumes of Luis Miguel’s songs.
Akira Hokuto is the most well known wrestler to use a Luis Miguel song for her theme entrance. Hokuto was married to luchador Talisman and she learned Spanish thanks to that relationship and fell in love with Mexican music, in particular Luis Miguel. Hokuto used the song Oro de Ley for her matches and it’s best known of the use of that song on her legendary Tokyo Dome entrance.
Ultimo Dragon is another case of a legendary wrestler that used a Luis Miguel song as part of his entrance with Separados. Ultimo Dragon spent a long time in Mexico on the early years of his career and on a similar case to Hokuto, he fell in love with Mexican music.
On a more recent case, ASF (Antonio San Francisco) an indie wrestler, uses the song “Cuando Calienta El Sol” has his theme and he even dances during his entrance.
A special mention has to be given to Demonic Flamita that listens to Luis Miguel’s music when he’s training.
It’s going to be interesting to see who will be the next wrestler to use Luis Miguel’s music as part of their entrance.
