wXw Germany recently announced the return of their 16 Carat Gold Tournament, with the 3 day event taking place from the 4th to the 6th March 2022, the tournament has long been seen as one of the biggest dates of the European wrestling calender attracting competitors from around the world.
Next year’s event looks to be no different, wXw have announced the first 3 competitors;
Among the first 3 announced competitors is the former ROH pure champion Jonathan Gresham, Jonathan Gresham makes his return to wXw Germany after 2 years, having spent several spells competing for German based wrestling promotions sporadically since 2013.
The line up also includes former Impact and MLW star Acey Romero as well as the reigning ZERO1 World & International Junior Heavyweight Champion Fuminori Abe who will be making their first appearance for the promotion at the tournament.

The 16 Carat Tournament has seen some of the best wrestlers in the world compete and was last won by British wrestler Cara Noir in 2020. Other 16 Carat tournament winners include WWE NXT UK Superstars Walter, Ilja Dragunov and Teoman as well as the likes of Chris Hero, Shingo Tagaki and AEW star Malakai Black.
