Multiple WWE Superstars, Including Nia Jax, Reported To Have Been Released Due To Not Being Vaccinated
WWE made another huge round of roster cuts today, releasing 18 total Superstars from the company.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful was the first to report the releases, which included the following WWE Superstars: Ember Moon, Keith Lee, Karrion Kross, Mia Yim, Harry Smith, Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado, Jeet Rama, Katrina Cortez, Trey Baxter, Zayda Ramier, Jessi Kamea, B-Fab, Oney Lorcan, Franky Monet, Eva Marie, Nia Jax and Scarlett Bordeaux.
It was also reported that a reason given internally via a company email sent from John Laurinaitis was cited as being “budget cuts.”
According to a report from the NY Post, one of the reason for Nia Jax’s WWE release today was due to her not being vaccinated.
“A source with knowledge of WWE’s operations told The Post that one of the reasons Nia Jax, a former WWE Raw women’s champion, was released is that she is unvaccinated.”
Andrew Zarian added to the report by saying that a source had told him that possibly four of the individuals who were released today were due to not being vaccinated.
“Spoke to a source regarding the WWE roster cuts.
It’s believed that possibly 4 individuals were released due to not being vaccinated.”
Sean Ross Sapp also commented on the reports of lack of vaccination contributing to the recent WWE Superstar releases.
“There were rumors within the industry last week that WWE would be cutting some talent in relation to vaccination status. That doesn’t appear to be the case across the board, although it was cited as a reason for several of them.”
