WWE Has Released Mia Yim
WWE has released Mia Yim as part of today’s mass round of roster cuts.
Mia Yim made her WWE main roster debut in September 2020 as part of the group RETRIBUTION, and given the ring name Reckoning. The group was eventually dissolved, and she would eventually be sent from Raw to SmackDown. Yim was then traded back to Raw for Naomi, but never appeared on the brand following the trade.
During the WWE 2021 Draft, Mia Yim was drafted to the Raw brand and the name Reckoning had been dropped. However, she once again never appeared following being drafted to RAW and instead was released earlier today as part of WWE’s latest round of “budget cuts.”
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the reason given for today’s releases according to a company email via John Laurinaitis was once again cited as being due to budget cuts.
Mia Yim commented on her WWE release, referencing her 90 non-compete clause.
