More NXT releases are on the way and Ember Moon is one of them, per Sean Sapp of Fightful.
The third of the women’s roster released tonight, this move comes as a little bit of a surprise. Ember Moon is among the most successful superstars released tonight and has been with the promotion since September of 2015. Moon’s run was highlighted by defeated Nikki Cross, Kairi Sane and Peyton Royce for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Takeover: War Games.
It remains to be seen whether or not Moon’s no-compete is the NXT-standard 30-days or the more traditional 90-days. Ember was on Raw from 2018-2020, which may change certain clauses in her contract. Moon had returned to NXT in 2020 and along with Shotzi Blackheart, won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships.
