It’s being reported that former NXT Champion Karrion Kross was about to be repackaged again before he was released by WWE. Karrion Kross and his fianceé Scarlett Bordeaux were both among the 18 names let go by WWE yesterday.
According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon planned on repacking Karrion Kross for the third time after he failed to get over with fans. This is why he was pulled from WWE television and ultimately released.
Vince McMahon had just pulled Kross from television, saying that he hadn’t gotten over and within the company they were told they were going to repackage him a third time. When Kross was in NXT, he was being groomed to be a main roster superstar because of his size and physique. He was beaten twice on television right away, then repackaged with a new Demolition-like costume, until McMahon pulled him from television with the idea that gimmick didn’t click either.
We will have to see what is next for Cross but we are sure he won’t have a problem finding work.
