Rev Pro UK’s Up Rising 21 Full Card – Preview
Rev Pro UK announced the full card for their upcoming Up Rising 21 in Huntingdon on the 21st at York Hall, the show is set to feature 4 championship matches including Will Ospreay vs Shota Umino for the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship.
The Full Card was announced yesterday;
Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship Match
Will Ospreay vs Shota Umino
The main event of the show sees the returning Shota Umino finally face Will Ospreay for his Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship, Umino has also promised to bring back Ospreay’s IWGP World Heavyweight Title to New Japan. The last time the two men shared the ring together Shota Umino was left laying prone, after Ospreay, with the help off Aussie Open took a rope tensioner to his knee, after being declared fit following an MRI in Japan, Umino returns to face the self proclaimed real IWGP world Heavyweight champion.
Undisputed British Women’s Championship
Alex Windsor vs Debbie Kietel
Alex Windsor made her dramatic return to Rev Pro UK defeating Gisele Shaw in a non-title match in her first match back then repeating the feat with the Championship on the line at last at the Rev Pro UK’s show, she makes her first defence of the championship against Debbie Kietel. Kietel made her return at the High Stakes Show and she made it clear her intentions were for the Women’s Championship attacking then champion Gisele Shaw, Kietel made it clear last show she didn’t care who she faced but she would be challenging for the title at York Hall.
Undisputed British Cruiserweight Championship Match
Michael Oku vs Speedball Mike Bailey
Speedball Mike Bailey recently overcome 8 of the best juniors from around the world, to win the Rev Pro UK British J Cup including current Rev Pro UK Undisputed British Cruiserweight champion Michael Oku, giving him the right to challenge for the title. Oku is the longest reigning Cruiserweight champion in Rev Pro UK history overcoming the likes of PAC, Robbie X, Chris Ridgeway and El Phantamso, can the new signed Impact star Bailey be the man to dethrone the champion?
Undisputed British Tag Team Championship Match
Aussie Open vs Roy Knight and Ricky Knight Jr
Ricky Knight Jr has been embroiled in a feud with Will Ospreay and his United Empire cohorts Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher of Aussie Open ever since the High stakes at York Hall where Aussie Open would join the United Empire, turning their back on and attacking RKJ. Following events of the Rev Pro UK RKJ will team with his father, Roy Knight, to Challenge the current Undisputed British Champions Aussie Open for the titles, this marks Roy Knights first match in Rev Pro UK in nearly 10 years.
Karl Fredericks and Alex Coughlin vs Sunshine Machine
NJPW LA Dojo members Karl Fredericks and Alex Coughlin are making their trip across the pond for they make the return to a Rev Pro UK ring, they’ll be facing one of the most popular and experienced teams in the UK in Chuck Mambo and TK Cooper, the Sunshine Machine.
Gideon Grey vs Yota Tusji
Gideon Grey has being trying to get Yota Tsuji to join his Legion ever since Tsuji arrived in Rev Pro in one last final gambit Grey challenged Tsuji to match if he wins Tsuji must join the Legion but if he loses he must disband the Legion.
Francesco Akira vs Robbie X
In a re-match from a couple of shows back Akira makes his return to Rev Pro UK after missing the British J Cup due to injury. Akira Will no doubt be looking to make his mark once again, at Robbie X’s expense as the former AJPW Jr Heavyweight champion will be looking to add the Rev Pro Cruiserweight championship to his collection.
Ryan Smile Hall of Induction
Rev Pro UK will also be paying honour to Rev Pro UK and British wrestling legend Ryan Smile by making him the inaugural entrant to the Rev Pro UK Hall of Fame, Smile tragically took his own life last year.
