Eddie Kingston Endured a Shoulder Injury at AEW Full Gear
Eddie Kingston participated in a match last night against CM Punk at AEW Full Gear. He was scheduled to appear at The Big Event NY Convention the following day, November 14. The convention announced that the AEW wrestler reached out and needed to cancel his scheduled appearance. He explained that he would need to miss the convention due to a possible shoulder injury from last night.
The statement also included that Eddie received medical tests on Sunday morning. The statement reads:
“Eddie Kingston contacted us late last night. Due to an injury to his shoulder in his match with CM Punk last night at the AEW PPV, he will be unable to appear at Big Event NY Convention today. He is having his shoulder checked out and having a series of medical tests this morning.
If you preordered any of his meet and greet items you will be refunded later today.
Sorry for the inconvenience”
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported the following: “there was no specific injury occurring from the actual match but that is more of a case of Kingston being banged up from a cumulation of different issues.”
Kingston has not yet personally commented on the possibly injury. There is currently no verification on the claims of how serious the injury is. Going into the Full Gear match, his right shoulder was heavily taped up.
PWInsider also reported that Malakai Black had to miss the same convention due to injury as well. No further update on his status has been given. Black was apart of a tag team match with Andrade El Idolo where they lost to Cody Rhodes & PAC last night at Full Gear.
