During AEW Full Gear, prior to the main event, Tony Schiavone announced that there was a special guest this evening. He then announced the guest to be Jay Lethal. When given the microphone, Lethal announced that it was official and that he was ‘All Elite.’
Lethal has been a champion in multiple promotions. In Ring of Honor, he is a former ROH World Champion, Pure Champion, Television Champion, and Tag Team Champion. He also has held the TNA World Tag Team Championship, and is a six-time TNA X-Division Champion.
Jay was quick to recognize the TNT Championship open challenge. After recognizing the gruelling match that current champion Sammy Guevara just had, he challenged him to a match for the belt on Dynamite. The two will battle for the championship on the November 17 edition of AEW Dynamite.
The current card for the upcoming episode of Dynamite is as follows:
- The Butcher & The Blade vs. Orange Cassidy & Tomohiro Ishii
- AEW TBS Women’s Title Tournament: Nyla Rose vs. Hikaru Shida
- The Acclaimed vs. Dante Martin & Lio Rush
- AEW TNT Championship: Sammy Guevara (c) vs. Jay Lethal
