Raw Superstars Film For Late Show with Stephen Colbert
Just a day after it was confirmed that Universal Champion Roman Reigns would be appearing on Jimmy Fallon, it’s being reported that WWE is teaming up with more late night television hosts. This time, it’ll be Stephen Colbert of the Late Show on CBS. Colbert has been hosting the Late Show for CBS since 2015.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported on Twitter that a myriad of Raw superstars have filmed a skit for the show, although it’s air date is currently unknown. Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, WWE Champion Big E, former WWE Champions Randy Orton, the Miz and Seth Rollins, as well as Bianca Belair and the Street Profits will be featured.
It’s hard to find a better group of talent for a spot such as this one, considering the star power and crossover appeal. Among the names are arguably the six most charismatic superstars in WWE as well as the Miz and Randy Orton, both of whom have crossed over into Hollywood mediums previously.
It’s likely that the skit will promote this Sunday’s Survivor Series extravaganza, one of the WWE’s Big Four Pay-Per-View events. Survivor Series airs this Sunday and features inter-promotional match-ups between superstars on Raw and superstars on SmackDown.
