WWE Releases Multiple Main Roster Superstars
We have seen WWE increase their amount of yearly releases since the pandemic. They have released huge names like Keith Lee, Karrion Kross, B-Fab, Ruby Soho, The IIconics, Bray Wyatt, and more. We have seen their roster be gutted time and time again.
Today, we saw many other stars get released out of nowhere. The names include some former champions, and likely some we would’ve assumed to be future champions. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com relayed that the following names had been released:
- John Morrison
- Top Dolla
- Ashante “Thee” Adonis
- Isaiah “Swerve” Scott
- Tegan Nox
- Drake Maverick
- Shane Thorne
- Jaxson Ryker
Sean went on to report that the reason cited is due to budget cuts. It is unknown what the non-compete clauses are for their individual contracts, However, if we assume it is the standard 90 days, that would take us to February 16, 2022. With AEW Revolution usually taking place in late February to early March, that show could also be one of surprises.
