The Butcher Suffers Injury on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite
AEW superstar the Butcher, whose real name is Andy Williams, has reportedly suffered an injury on the 11/17 edition of AEW Dynamite. Williams, who has been on tour with his band Every Time I Die, had only his fourth match for AEW in the last two months as he teamed with his partner the Blade against Orange Cassidy and New Japan star Tomohiro Ishii.
The Butcher’s AEW Dynamite appearance was seemingly a one-off while his band continued to tour. Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer mentioned that “Butcher tore his biceps” during Friday’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Live. Every Time I Die has not issued a statement on Williams’ condition and how it may impact scheduled tour dates. There is currently no timetable for the Butcher’s return to AEW television.
The band Every Time I Die recently released their ninth album, Radical, on the 22nd of October. Post-Boredom, a single released on August 17th, has already surprised 1.5M Spotify streams. The Butcher and The Blade made their AEW debut in 2019 and are perhaps most well-known for their Falls Count Anywhere contest with the Young Bucks that topped 1M viewers in July of 2020. The Butcher and Blade have been aligned with Matt Hardy in recent weeks.
We at Bodyslam would like to wish the Butcher the speediest of recoveries.
