Jim Ross Temporarily Stepping Away From AEW Commentary Duties Due To Skin Cancer Treatment
All Elite Wrestling’s Jim Ross alerted fans back in late October that he had been diagnosed with skin cancer. In his various update on the Grillin‘ JR podcast since then, Ross has confirmed that he’ll undergo medical treatment and wasn’t expected to miss any TV time as a result but has now decided to take a little time off.
In a post on his official Twitter account, All Elite Wrestling commentator and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross revealed that he will be temporarily stepping away from his commentary duties due to his skin cancer care totaling 22 radiation treatments, which begins on Monday.
Ross noted that he is hopeful to return on the December 29th episode of AEW Dynamite in Jacksonville, Florida.
Due to my skin cancer care totaling 22 radiation treatments starting Monday, I will hopefully return to the announce desk on December 29 in Jacksonville. @TonyKhan supports me on this strategy which has been a blessing. My thanks for all your support.
Jim Ross is a legend of the wrestling world and has only taken an amount of time off after his wife passed away, but it doesn’t look like he will let anything else keep him away from the microphone. We here at Bodyslam.net send all our best to Jim Ross.
