Rumored Date and Location for AEW Revolution Revealed
AEW has just finished all of their scheduled 2021 pay-per-views with Full Gear. However, unlike they have done previously, they decided to not announce the date or location for the next show. The first PPV event for AEW in 2022 will be Revolution.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that 2022’s Revolution PPV is rumored to happen the first weekend of March in Orlando, Florida. The current rumored date is Sunday, March 6. The event is said to be taking place at the Amway Arena. The Amway Arena was home to the WWE ThunderDome for a while. This would be a change of place for AEW, as the last two Revolution events have taken place in February.
The date March 6 would land the show on a Sunday. AEW has had Sunday PPVs for every show in the past except for Full Gear. The Full Gear event was held on Saturday due to Tony Khan wanting to avoid the NFL.
The report also noted that there has been a concert booked for the Friday before the pay-per-view. If AEW goes through with this date, they wouldn’t be able to hold the live edition of Rampage before the PPV, in the same arena, like they have done in the past.
