Jaxson Ryker Speaks About His WWE release

Earlier this month, WWE went through another round of talent releases. Jaxson Ryker, also known as Gunner, was among the latest group of WWE talent to be let go by the company. Ryker was paired with Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler/Maclin as a part of The Forgotten Sons in NXT, and the group was called up to the main roster in 2020.

During an appearance on Wrestling for the Faith, Ryker spoke about his release:

“It’s been — you know, I put a statement out man and I’m not bitter, I’m not angry, I’m not mad by any means. I had five fun years there where I got to do a lot of cool stuff.”

“We came to terms on the end of my contract so you know what? I look forward to the future, what God’s gonna do. I think he’s got some cool doors that are gonna open up for me and let’s just see what happens man.”

Before joining NXT, Ryker had a successful run with Impact Wrestling. He noted that his exit from Impact! was more devastating than the WWE release, as he was not financially or religiously stable at the time. We will have to see what is next for Ryker. Below is the full interview.
