Eric Bischoff Sends Warning To Tony Khan About Signing More Talent
Since the inception of AEW, the goal of the company has been to change the wrestling landscape and to make wrestling fun again, and there is no doubt that they have definitely been doing that. its been proven in the ratings and in the way that fans have flocked to the product, and it helps when you have such a stacked roster consisting of some of the most influential wrestlers of today including CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Sting , Cody Rhodes, and Kenny Omega just to name a few. Well, it looks like a prominent voice of the wrestling world is giving his opinion on how the company has become pen-happy when signing free agents.
While speaking during a Q/A session with AdFreeShows, WWE Hall Of Famer Eric Bischoff talked about Tony Khan’s habit of signing more and more talents to AEW’s roster. Bischoff stated if AEW continues to sign more talents without any long-term plans, then it will backfire in the future.
“We don’t know what AEW’s strategies are. We don’t know what their plans for growth are. There’s so much that we don’t know. That being said, if there is no strategy, and if you’re simply loading up your roster for the sake of building a big roster because somehow having a big roster is your measure of success, then yea, there’s a chance it can backfire.”
If history proves anything, AEW will continue to sign a variety of talents, whoever will help benefit the company in the long run.
