Will Ospreay Says Not Even Covid Will Stop Him From Being At Wrestle Kingdom
Yesterday it was reported that Japan would be closing its borders to all non-residents due to the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus, seemingly putting New Japan’s upcoming shows including Wrestle Kingdom in jeopardy. Well, one star is vowing that nothing will stop him from showing up to the show.
Will Ospreay took to Twitter today to make a declaration that he will be at in Japan to take on the winner of night one’s Shingo Takagi vs Kazuchika Okada match in the main event of night two of this year’s NJPW Wrestle Kingdom at the Tokyo Dome.
Shingo can’t stop me. Okada can’t stop me. Covid can’t stop me. January 5th 2022, I’ll be there.
Given the current status of the Omicron variant, we will have to see if it affect NJPW’s upcoming shows in any way.
