Ahead of Tony Nese’s opportunity at the TNT Championship on the December 3rd edition of AEW Rampage, AEW President Tony Khan has confirmed that Nese has signed a deal with the promotion via Twitter. The signing had been reported in late-October and since, Nese has appeared regularly in the crowd at AEW events and has competed for AEW. Thus far, Nese is 4-0 in AEW following victories on AEW Dark.
Nese, who has been cited as the hottest free agent in professional wrestling, is known primarily for his tenure in WWE where he was a staple in the 205 Live Cruiserweight division. The highlight of his run on 205 Live was a victory at WrestleMania 35 over Buddy Murphy for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Nese was known for stints in Impact Wrestling and DragonGATE prior to signing with WWE.
