Is Walter Heading To Main Roster?
Walter has not been seen on WWE TV since he lost the NXT UK championship to Ilja Dragunov at NXT TakeOver 36. It has been rumored that Walter will be making his Main Roster debut as reported by Inside the Ropes following a comments made by Dave Meltzer.
“Regarding Rumours of Walter’s status changing, he did split up with his wife. Family was the reaso he used to not be interested in moving from Europe. But he has dropped weight because having a good looking body is far more important on the main roster and there is interest in having him base in the U.S”
Dave Meltzer as reported by Inside the Ropes 03/12/21
Walter made appearances during the recent UK Tour as part of Smackdown Live shows in matches against Cesaro as well as teaming with Sheamus against Finn Balor and Cesaro.
If Walter is main roster bound it looks like it won’t happen until the following the year as reported yesterday Walter is set to be appearing and competing at wXw Germany’s 21st Anniversary on the 18th of December in Oberhausen.
With this booking and new Covid restrictions coming into place once again with the new Omicron variant if Walter were to travel the US following the event he would have quarantine himself meaning he would not be able to appear on shows until next year.
It would seem likely though that Walter will be heading to the united states if we are to look at this match as his swansong for wXw Germany with one more final dream match, a first ever in ring meeting with current Progress Wrestling champion Cara Noir.
Cara Noir was originally scheduled to be part of the 6 man ladder match to crown a No. 1 Contender but Noir was pulled from the match up yesterday when they announced on Twitter that they had the opportunity to book a dream match up
“The opportunity arose to schedule a match for #wXwAnniversary that wrestling fans have been dreaming of for years.”

How Walter will be treated on the main roster is anyone guess but there are certainly plenty of dream match ups on main roster, giving that he made appearances for Smackdown Live during the UK tour it is likely he’ll be competing on the Blue brand should he be called up.
