Matt Hardy “Feels Good” About Jeff Hardy After WWE Release
In a recent HouseHardy Twitch stream, Matt Hardy was asked to reflect on the WWE release of his brother, Jeff. Speculation surrounding Jeff Hardy intensified following a report from Mike Johnson of PWI stating that Jeff had been sent home from the WWE tour and was not present at the Corpus Christi, TX house show. Fans became concerned following these reports, given Jeff’s history with substance abuse. On December 9th, Fightful reported that Jeff Hardy had been released by WWE, with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reporting that Jeff had refused rehab.
In his December 13th HouseHardy Twitch stream, Matt Hardy confirmed Fightful’s report that Jeff had been offered rehab by WWE and had refused. Matt stated that Jeff informed WWE that he did not need rehab, a conclusion Matt agreed with on his Twitch stream. Matt told fans that WWE tested Jeff for illicit substances and that the results would show that Jeff was not abusing substances at the time of his release. He assured fans that Jeff is healthy and in a good place mentally and physically. He finished by giving his support to Jeff and told fans that Jeff would tell his version of events regarding his removal from the WWE tour when he is ready.
