Briscoe Brothers Call Out FTR, Tony Khan after Final Battle skirmish
Ring of Honor’s Final Battle saw this era of ROH end the only way that seemed appropriate: with The Briscoe Brothers, Jay and Mark, atop the tag division.
After defeating The OGK (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) to claim their 12th ROH Tag Team Championship, the Briscoes called out any tag team in the world who wanted a piece of “Dem Boys.” That proved an invitation too good to resist for a couple of Top Guys.
The lights dropped and when they rose again, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler stood on the ring apron as the crowd in Baltimore roared. The brawl was on, but of course, it wouldn’t end there. On Tuesday night, December 14, Jay Briscoe took to Twitter with Mark to lay down the challenge to the former AEW Tag Team Champions and their boss.
In the course of their video message, Jay and Mark show off the ROH and GCW Tag Team Championships, Jay dons a custom “12X” fitted cap referring to the number of ROH Tag Team title reigns the team has earned and the duo both call for Tony Khan or FTR to come scoop them up and send a plane ticket. Or, as Jay yells, “it can even be a bus ticket!”
Mark then proceeds to compare FTR to “a baby running around the house with a (big) knife,” because they don’t realize the danger in which they have put themselves. Mark even makes an offer FTR to come to the farm in Sandy Fork, Delaware. “We’ve got a ring one barn over,” he added.
We reported earlier that Tony Khan mentioned on Barstool’s “My Mom’s Basement” broadcast that more signings were on the way. We’ll just have to wait and see if Dem Boys are among them.
