Independent Wrestler Markus Crane Passes Away At Age 33
The wrestling world mourns today, as news emerged that Deathmatch Wrestler Markus Crane passed away at the age of 33.
On Monday morning, Freelance Wrestling announced that Illinois-based wrestler Markus Crane had passed. Crane was a deathmatch wrestler that performed regularly for GCW, Freelance, NPU, and more.
Back in 2019, Crane took some time off wrestling when doctors discovered an infection in his skull from a pre-existing injury. Doctors needed to perform surgery to prevent erosion of his skull from the infection, which had begun leaking into his brain. A GoFundMe for Crane raised over $23,000 to assist him.
Crane wrestled earlier this year back in April at GCW’s Planet Death event against Kit Osbourne in what would be his last singles match. Crane did however make a surprise appearance back on Halloween of this year at H2O/FMWE’s Destiny event.
We here at Bodyslam.net would like to extend our condolences to the family and friends of Markus Crane.
