Exclusive: Jon Moxley Expected To Return To AEW Programming As Soon As This Week
Tony Khan announced on November 2nd that Jon Moxley was taking time away from wrestling to enter into an inpatient alcohol treatment program.
We haven’t seen Jon Moxley on AEW programming in about two months, but it looks as though we could be seeing the former AEW World Champion back on TV very soon.
Multiple sources that I have spoken to have confirmed to me that Jon Moxley’s return to AEW television is imminent, and could happen as soon as this week. One source told me, “I heard today but nothing concrete,” which would fall in line with AEW Dynamite’s big move from TNT to TBS tonight. It was relayed to me from multiple sources that Moxley is expected to be there. The internal belief was that AEW would load up tonight’s premiere on TBS, as there was also a report from Ringside News that Brody King would be debuting on Dynamite.
Additionally, it is believed that once Moxley returns to AEW Television his upcoming GCW World Championship match against Homicide will be made official for Hammerstein. Sources stated that an announcement for Moxley’s return to active competition would have to happen in AEW before he could wrestle anywhere else, which is why nothing has officially been announced for GCW’s upcoming Hammerstein event.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about Jon Moxley’s imminent return to television, or plans for the upcoming GCW Title defense against Homicide.
