It is rare for signed performers to make appearances for Independent promotions but it is not unheard of, although in most of these cases it usually involves a promotion with a working relationship, such as wXw Germany, Progress, ICW and former Evolve.

In 2018 most NXT UK talents signed new deals that prohibited them for working with Independent promotions that had a strong internet presence, this may have only been talents on the top tier of NXT UK. Some talent were still permitted to work with some promotions although there were certain restrictions such as only working shows that have a paramedic on site.

Lizzy Evo has become one of the top stars of the UK independent scene winning titles with several promotions across the UK as well as making appearances for Rev Pro UK and Progress Wrestling. Lizzy Evo has also been seen in backstage footage on recent NXT UK’s and photos did emerge of her working matches on NXT UK although none have aired as yet.
