WWE Pursued Rok-C Before Her Tryout
With all the recent releases that WWE has made over the past year, it looks like the company may be looking to fill those positions with new talent. Over the past few months, WWE has held tryouts at the Performance Center with some prominent names showing up including Monster Factory project Notorious Mimi.
Another interesting prospect who was present for the tryouts was 20-year-old former Ring Of Honor Women’s Champion Rok-C. WWE had previously passed on teen stars in the past for being “too young.” However, that seems to be changing amid reports that WWE is looking to get younger.
According to Fightful Select, Rok-C performed well at the tryouts and It seems likely that the promotion will attempt to sign her. Fightful noted that a source from Performance Center pointed out Rok-C’s match against Deonna Purrazzo on IMPACT as evidence. The most interesting thing, though, in Fightful’s report is that WWE was pursuing her prior to this. Rok-C has seemingly been on WWE’s radar for quite a bit of time now.
It’s been reported that the tryouts have been such a significant event for the company that WWE gave Performance Center trainees several days off. We will have to see if WWE signs either Rok-C, Notorious Mimi or any other competitors.
