Kairi Sane Discussed as a Possible Entrant For Royal Rumble
With the 2022 Royal Rumble looming, WWE still needs to fill out the Royal Rumble matches themselves, usually leading to surprise entrants. One name being thrown around is Kairi Sane, who has not wrestled since 2020.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Sane’s name has been coming up a lot lately inside WWE. Nothing has been confirmed, but there is strong interest in Kairi returning for the match.
“Kairi Sane hasn’t competed for WWE in a year and a half, but we’ve heard that her name has been pitched as a possible Royal Rumble entry for this weekend. Sane left the United States in the Summer of 2020 and returned to Japan, where she’s remained with WWE in an official capacity as an ambassador. She’s also done commentary work for WWE in Japan.”
There are certainly going to be quite a few surprises, but with name’s such as Lita and the Bella Twins already announced, WWE may have to use names a bit more outside of the box than the traditional surprises. You can follow Bodyslam for all of your Royal Rumble coverage.
