Exclusive: Danny Limelight Discusses Working With Jon Moxley, His Experience With AEW, And More
Danny Limelight was one of many talents across the independent wrestling scene brought in to work for AEW at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Limelight, currently signed to MLW and NJPW, recently sat down with Bodyslam’s own Carisa Lopez in an interview that will premiere on Bodyslam’s YouTube channel on Wednesday.
During the discussion, as seen in the clip above, Limelight spoke about working with former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, while also expressing how proud he is about Moxley’s recovery. The match in question took place on the ninth episode of AEW Dark: Elevation at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.
“Shoutout to Jon Moxley on his recovery. He’s doing great, I’m happy to see that. Him and his beautiful wife, Renee, and their beautiful little baby. So shoutout to their family. Jon was great, man. He and I had a really good match. It was one of my favorite matches in the main event of Elevation. I actually wrestled him twice. I think a couple weeks after that I teamed with Royce Isaacs, another Team Filthy member, to take on Jon and Eddie and it was just a great time, man. I learned a lot from being in the ring with him, he brought out a real fight in me. I really appreciated it.”

Furthermore, Limelight noted how positive his overall experience with the promotion ended up being.
“Wrestling for AEW was awesome. I had a great time. I had a lot of great matches there and wrestle the best wrestlers in the world. I got to wrestle Kenny Omega on Dynamite, I got to wrestle Rey Fenix, Brian Cage, Konosuke Takeshita, which is my favorite match of all-time, and I was in the ring with the best of the best. So, it was a really good time. Tony Khan is an awesome boss, I had a great time working there.”
