Raw Sees Viewership Boost Following The Royal Rumble Event
This past Monday’s episode of Raw saw the fallout from Saturday’s Royal Rumble. The show advertised the selection of Ronda Rousey’s WrestleMania opponent as well as Elimination Chamber qualifiers. It also featured a surprise appearance from WWE Hall of Famer Lita to set up a match with Raw Women’s Champion “The Man” Becky Lynch.
According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, January 31st’s episode of RAW brought in 1.87 million viewers with a .47 in the 18 to 49 demographic. For comparison, the January 24th episode of WWE RAW brought in an overnight average of 1,766,000 viewers with a .46 in the 18 to 49 demographic, while the January 17th’s episode of WWE RAW brought in 1,613,000 viewers. They also scored a .43 rating in the coveted 18 to 49 demographic for their MLK Day episode.
The January 10th episode of WWE RAW brought in an overnight average of 1,632,000 viewers with a .39 in the 18 to 49 demographic.
WWE’s first Raw of the new year brought in an audience of 1.716 million viewers with a .45 in the 18 to 49 demographic.
