Tony Khan Shuts Down Rumors That He Is Running For Congress
Tony Khan has a hand in more than one business venture. Not only is he the President and C.E.O of All Elite Wrestling, but along with his father he’s is C.O.O of the NFL team, The Jacksonville Jaguars. He also is the Vice Chairman and Director of Football Operations for the Fulham Soccer team located in Fulham London. So when it was reported that Khan had filed with the FEC to run for congress in Florida’s 4th Congressional district, it didn’t come as a surprise to many.
Hold off on “Vote for Khan” shirts though, because it now looks like this may have been just a case of false reporting. In fact, Khan was never listed as an active candidate by the Florida Division of Elections & Federal Elections Commission.
In a post on social media, the Khan would put the rumors to rest stating that he’s definitely not running for Congress.
The fact checking standard for @ProFootballTalk reporting is far lower than that of @AEW’s roving reporter @tonyschiavone24. I’m definitely not running for Congress; this filing is faker than Eddie Gilbert’s apology to Tommy Rich in 1984. PFT sources as trustworthy as @The_MJF.
