The flyweight bout between Alex Perez and Matt Schnell has been scrapped once again after Alex Perez missed the flyweight limit by two pounds on Friday. Following repeated attempts to book and rebook this fight, it is unclear going forward if the UFC will look to match the two up again. The most recent attempt to put the two together before 271 was back at UFC 269 when Perez missed weight and Matt was ruled out of the fight after weigh ins.
Perez commented on his weight miss on Instagram, accepting the blame for the fight falling through for the fourth time.
