UFC featherweight contenders Brian Ortega and Yair Rodriguez look to be on a collision course as per Ariel Helwani, the UFC are trying their best to book the number 2 and number 3 contenders. A date for the potential fight is not known.
Both fighters are coming off recent losses with Brian Ortega coming mere seconds from submitting featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski back at UFC 266 in a bout Volkanovski would go on to win via unanimous decision despite two very close submission attempts from T-City. “El Pantera” on the other hand was last seen vs Max Holloway at UFC Fight Night 197 where he dropped a UD loss to the number 1 contender at 145 pounds.
