Bryan Danielson ‘Really Wants’ To Compete In NJPW’s G1 Tournament
Bryan Danielson has been regarded as as one of the best wrestlers in the world for almost 20 years, and for those who have followed his journey through the business it seems like there is not much left for the American Dragon to do. However, it seems as though he still has things he’d like to do in the industry.
During an interview on a recent episode of Throwing Down, Danielson noted that while he doesn’t have a wrestling bucket list, the G1 is something that has always been a goal. Being forced to retire during his time with WWE made him think about the opportunity.
“I do not have a wrestling bucket list, but I really want to do a G1 for New Japan but, other than that, I don’t really in the sense of, ‘Oh, I want to do this or I want to do that.’ When I was forced to retire, what it really made me think is, ‘I don’t want to take any of this for granted.’”
Just the thought of Bryan Danielson in the G1 Tournament is enough to get fans excited, but now with Tony Khan recently making statements that the Forbidden Door is being opened both in and out, one has to think there is a strong possibility of seeing Danielson compete for NJPW.
