Rey Fenix Might Miss Revolution While Healing From Injury
The Lucha Brothers defended their AEW World Tag Team Championships on the TBS debut of AEW Dynamite in a losing effort against Jurassic Express. During the contest, Rey Fenix suffered an injury after a table spot gone wrong. While nothing was structurally out of place for Fenix, the injury has sidelined him for quite a bit of time.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the speculated 6-man tag team match between Death Triangle and The House of Black. Meltzer noted that with Fenix unlikely to make it in time for AEW Revolution, the match may have to be postponed.
“That may be a little bit later, because I was told that Fenix still has three weeks, and three weeks is kinda missing March 6. But who knows? It’s wrestlers, it’s Rey Fenix and he’s crazy. Maybe he’ll make it and maybe that match will be on there as well.”
While nothing has been set in stone, it’s unlikely that Fenix will make a comeback and be ready for the six-man tag match. Bodyslam will keep you up-to-date on the development.
