Former WWE Superstar To Make AEW Debut At Revolution
AEW’s Revolution PPV takes place later tonight from The Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida. In the past, AEW Pay-Per-Views have been loaded with surprises and debuts, and tonight’s Revolution appears to be no different.
It was previously reported via Fightful Select that former WWE Superstar Isaiah Swerve Scott, now going by his previous ring name Shane Strickland, has signed with All Elite Wrestling. Sw3rve’s debut has been highly anticipated, and sounds like it may happen as early as tonight.
According to a new report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, as of Saturday the plan was for Sw3rve to debut “imminently,” with the idea being for it to happen at Revolution.
“Sw3rve, formerly known as Hit Row’s Swerve Scott has officially signed with All Elite Wrestling, Fightful has learned. Last week, we reported that the deal was as good as done and he’d be coming into the company after his non-compete expired. AEW hasn’t went out of their way to keep it a secret, as he was at the AEW concert on Saturday Night in Orlando, and a song that repeatedly mentioned him played. Sw3rve still lives in the Orlando area, as well.“
“Beyond that, we’re told that the plan as of Saturday was to debut Sw3rve “imminently,” with the idea as of then for him to debut at AEW Revolution. However, despite the heavy speculation, we were not told as to in what capacity the debut was planned. As with anything in wrestling, this is subject to change.”
We will have to see if Shane “Sw3rve” Strickland makes his AEW debut at tonight’s Revolution PPV, and if so in what capacity.
