IMPACT Wrestling Star Finished With Company Following Last Night’s Sacrifice Event
IMPACT Wrestling held their 2022 Sacrifice event on Saturday night. The event was held at the Paristown Hall in Louisville, Kentucky and aired live on IMPACT Plus.
The card featured an X-Division Title match between Champion Trey Miguel and Jake Something. But it now looks like the match was one of the competitors final match with the company, as his contract is said to have expired.
According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp via Fightful Select, IMPACT Wrestling Star Jake Something appears to have worked his final match with the company, as his contract expired at the end of February. Despite his contract ending at the end of last month, there was one outstanding date remaining on his contract. IMPACT Wrestling decided to put him in the X-Division Title Match at Sacrifice to fulfill his final match obligation with the company.
“Fightful reported recently that Jake’s deal was up at the end of February, which was true, but there was one outstanding date remaining on the contract. Despite the deal being set to expire, IMPACT put him in a top spot in an X-Division title match for Sacrifice, which is slated to be his last date with the company as of now.”
“We’re told that as of this moment, no deal has been reached, and he isn’t scheduled to be at the Sunday television tapings after wrestling Saturday night. We’re told that things ended between the two sides on good terms, and that Jake would “likely be welcomed back.” It was reiterated to Fightful that this doesn’t necessarily spell the end of the two working together if they can reach an agreement in the future.”
We will have to see if the two sides do in fact decide to work together in the future, as it was stated that both Jake Something and IMPACT are open to working together if they can reach some type of agreement.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about the status of Jake Something after his contract with IMPACT Wrestling has expired following this weekend’s Sacrifice event.
