Few fighters in the world of MMA have the charisma and talent to pull off a “heel” gimmick, where you say the most outlandish trash talk you can think up. Chael Sonnen, Conor McGregor and Colby Covington are some of the very few to be successful in the cage due to their skill as well as their ability to to “sell” a fight and it looks as if Colby Covington may jump into the ring following the end of his UFC career.
Colby has been a long-time fan of professional wrestling and even appeared during Dan Lambert of American Top Team’s faction in Impact wrestling. If you’re wondering why Colby wasn’t in the same faction in AEW, Colby was kicked out of American Top Team in between said storylines.
