MVP Working Hard To Get Back In The Ring After Suffering Injury

Back in 2020, MVP made his return to WWE during the Royal Rumble. The appearance was supposed to be a one-off, but MVP and WWE came to an agreement and signed a contract that would see the vet stay around for the near future.

During his run with Bobby Lashley and the Hurt Business, MVP would be sidelined with a knee injury, which has kept him out since September of last year.

During an interview with Freddie Prinze Jr. on iHeart Radio’s Wrestling With Freddie, MVP gave fans an update regarding his rehab process. MVP revealed that his knee has fully healed and he is working hard to get medically cleared for an in-ring return.

“I’m going through my physical assessment to get cleared to get back in the ring because I had that knee injury for a while. It’s all healed up, it’s just a matter of me jumping through hoops to make sure I’m physically capable of performing in the ring. I’m feeling good. The knee injury, the torn meniscus, is completely healed. Now it’s just a matter of rebuilding the strength in the leg from the atrophied muscle. My teardrop is gone, nonexistent, we’re working on building that back up. My cardio is much better than I thought it would be because I actually hired a trainer and have been working on it. I’m further along than I thought I would be, fortunately, my back isn’t gasping for air. I feel pretty damn good.”

It is still unknown when MVP will be making his return to the squared circle as fans are surely waiting to see him back.

Below is the full interview wit MVP.
