It looks like there’d been enough talk on AEW Rampage on Friday the 18th, as the show was focused directly on in-ring action, as is the usual. The show opened with a stellar match between Darby Allin and The Butcher, showcasing the strengths of the Butcher. The match ended in a count-out, an AEW rarity as the promotion has been conservative with that outcome. It’s the first count-out in the promotion since Ryo Mizunami defeated Aja Kong over a year ago. The show had been pre-empted by March Madness and will return to its regular timeslot next week.
